During the 70’s his music poured like a natural spring.

Signature Songs

We usually identify our favorite songs as much by the artist as by the music. For example, you probably cannot hear “My Way” without thinking of Frank Sinatra. He has forever put his “signature” on that particular song. Here are some of your favorite contemporary gospel songs whose artists have made them their own. We hope you will enjoy reliving this special music of some very extra ordinary artists.

Songs of Fanny Crosby

Fanny Crosby never let the handicap of being blind deter her in any way from affecting the world through her music. She lived from 1820 to 1915, and today her hymns have been and are still being sung more frequently than those of any other gospel hymn writer. Engraved on her tombstone in Bridgeport, CT are the words taken from Jesus’ remarks to Marry, the sister of Lazarus, “She hath done what she could.”

Songs of Christmas

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night; And, lo, the angel of the Lord shone round about them and they were sore afraid. And the Angel of the Lord said unto them, fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy.
