| Comment: | When the lights went on and the curtains opened in 1967 the same thing happened in my heart. I was a teenager, bored with the church and it's irrelevancy. The Spurrlows sound was rich and deep and modern. God was saying don't give up I am alive and well and not afraid to keep up with the times. Your music kept me holding on to my faith and challenged me to be relevant in the world. And I'm still singing. Thank you Mr. Spurr. |

| Comment: | Wonderful to see this site filled with news of CMI! How wonderful that they are still singing and blessing people! I was involved with them from 1974-1977 and then with Festival of Praise from 1977-1981. What truly great memories I have of those times!
Thanks, Thurlow, for all of your time and effort over these many years to keeps things going! |

| Comment: | Hi Thurlow, As one of the eight original Spurrlows in 1959, I remember a spiritually defining moment one December evening as we hung on the side of a North Carolina mountain. I ask God to spare my life and promised to follow His leadership the rest of my life. I made a choice to Give Him First Place. I want to sing First Place at my Church this Sunday morning. I cannot find a copy of the music. Could you help? |

| Comment: | Brief alum of a group derived from Common Ground roots (Love's Distinction) in the summer of '73. I bailed after a friend's death, but the time in Orlando was memorable and enlightening. |

| Comment: | Dear T.S. As a 10 year old boy, my parents took me kicking and screaming to a Spurrlows concert in Nov. 1969 and the experience changed my life. I found the joy of Christ through the music you and your groups have made. I was also a big groupie of and made friends with The Spurrlows, Re'Gen, First Gear, Garden Party, etc. I decided I wanted to be the next T.S. and went to Belmont College intent on doing just that. God had other plans for me but I will always remember you and your Splendor Productions as the first love of my life. God Bless You and Yours. I hope to be in one of your groups in heaven. |

| Comment: | Just found your site and wanted to say Hi! I was the drummer back in the sixties and still have good and somewhat rocky memories of that tour. I continued on in my career as a musician and married the lady I was seeing back then. Still happily married almost 43 yrs in July and have 4 kids with 5 grandkids. Two are also drummers and one is a Broadway star and film/tv actress. Currently on All My Children. Hear her wonderful music on iTunes "Meredith Patterson" She also has a website with the same name .com. It was nice to see pictures of the old gang. I have a large scrap book if ever interested. Cheers! |

| Comment: | PRAISE THE LORD : JESUS IS ABLE Date: April 23, 2009 Beloved in Christ, Greetings to you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My name is Jachin Charley, I am 33 years old. I am serving the Lord as an Evangelist and helping the poor. Beloved, in my Rustumbada village, so many poor people are staying in small huts. They don’t have proper food, clothes. Due to poverty they are not having education. They are living in so much agony and pain. They don’t have proper Medical facilities. We are giving them food, clothes and medicines. We are spending our own money to help them with God's Love. I have started Jesus Gospel Ministry in the year 2006 on September 28. We are giving them Good News of Jesus. They are accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Please pray for these people. Please forward this message to many Christians to support our Indian ministry. For your reference we are sending some ministry photos.
